With the graphical capabilities of the iPhone, many gaming developers are looking at the handset as a whole new market to sell their successful video games through applications.
But while the list of technical and complicated games available on the iPhone continues to grow, there are still a bunch of awesome, simple, quick and easy to use applications, which are just what iPhone users are after.
Box of Sox is one of these.
The thing I like most about the game is that it is the perfect game to play while trying to kill a few minutes. It is the perfect game to give to your child to keep them occupied, and it is the perfect game to play if you just want to relax and let a game wash over you.
The game is simple - socks are tumbling out of a dryer and it is your job to match up the pairs.
There’s a set of five up at the top that need to be found and grouped before you can move on to the next level.
Socks slowly pile up on the floor and you can only advance to the next level when all the spots are filled.
Box of Sox really is a simple game, but a simple game, which is quite enjoyable.
Without a doubt, one of the most impressive features of the game is the graphics.
Instead of jagged pixels, you get crisp vector art, which ups the quality of the whole game. The diversity and designs of the socks are truly remarkable for a game like this.
While the game will not be taking any award for best app of the year, it is a really cool buy for only 99 cents.
