As the social network websites continue to develop, so too does iPhone’s application list. This time it is the newest Facebook 3.0 app that is out in the open.

If you haven’t yet downloaded the new version, I suggest you do so, as it is a much faster, organized and efficient app than its predecessors.

One of the greatest improvements is that the app now supports landscape mode, which means better and easier typing when you are composing updates or sending messages to your Facebook friends.

Facebook 3.0 now also has a built-in browser meaning you will not have to fire up iPhone’s Safari browser anymore when you click on links.

In addition the layout is much more organized and easier to use than the last version, as well as being aesthetically more pleasing.

One of the best new features of Facebook 3.0 would have to be the addition of events, which allows users to send RSVP to events they’re attending as well as see details about those events.

It also gives you constant reminders of mate’s birthdays and has a new feature, which allows Facebook 3.0 users to see, edit and create new notes.

There are also improvements in Facebook chatting, adding and searching friends, sending and receiving messages, tagging and uploaded photos and videos and the introduction of notifications and news feeds.

In summary, Facebook 3.0 for iPhone is a giant step towards making one of the best iPhone apps so far in terms of functionality, performance and interface. Facebook 3.0 shows other application developers what can be achieved with time and careful planning.

If you’re a lover of social networking sites and an active Facebook user, this application is a must have.
