Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchard

It was only six months ago that game developer HandCircus released its highly popular puzzle-adventure game, Rolando.

A host of publications voted Rolando the best iPhone game of 2008 and it has been downloaded by thousands of eager customers.

Well now the sequel, Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchard, has hit the App Store and from all reports it too is selling like hotcakes.

Rolando 2 will pick up where the original left off, taking you through an entertaining series of levels in which you must twist, tilt, touch and slide your iPhone (or iPod Touch) through a maze of levels.

Fans of the first game will be pleasantly surprised by the new and improved 3D interface that features volcanic caverns, dark jungles, ancient ruins and tropical beaches.

Getting around will be slightly different too, as you will be able to commandeer your Rolandos by driving, flying and swimming, adding whole new dimensions to gameplay!

And don’t forget the combat element. If you are expecting passive Rolandos you will get a shock – zapping, shooting, blasting, skewering and drowning can all occur in this game, so make sure you are ready to take on a host of spiteful enemies.

The more than 45 levels that make up the game can be played in any order, meaning you get to chart your own course towards the game’s exciting finish.

Another strong feature – becoming ever more popular with iPhone games – is the ability to challenge your friends to beat your high scores and awards. This is enabled thanks to the fact that Rolando 2 runs on OS 3.0.

So if you are after an engrossing game that combines adventure, exploration, combat and great graphics, get a copy of Rolando 2 today.
