Rather than carry around a bulky diary or filofax, iPhones feature an in-built calendar application that users can make use of. While most smart phones suffer from a cramped calendar function that is difficult to read and not intuitive to use, the iPhone’s calendar application is as easy to use as it is attractive.
The default view for the iPhone calendar is monthly, with the current day highlighted and any appointments or events marked by a dot below the date. Any events scheduled to happen within the next 24 hours are also listed below the calendar grid.
Users who prefer a list view can change the calendar’s navigation to show a list of all upcoming events along with their date and time, or alternatively they can swap to a day view which gives a much more detailed view of the 24 hours of that day. Meetings and events in Day view appear as a highlighted box that covers all the hours over which a scheduled event takes place.
Clicking on an event will give a detailed run down of the event, including its location, duration and any other notes made about it when it was inputted. From there edits, notes and changes can be made including the event details, setting alarms, repeats and so on.

Can you tell me if in the Calendar it can be set for longer than 2 days reminder of an event?
In Outlook you can set for days, weeks, months, but I can only set for up to 2 days in Iphone 3G.
Many thanks
